2011 marks the 40th anniversary of Napoleonic
re-enactment in the UK. A hobby started by La Garde Imperiale. La Garde Imperiale was formed in 1971 to recreate the artillery
of the Napoleonic epoch in all its facets. We have achieved much over the last 40 years, the more we do the more we want to
do.
La Garde is Unique in UK Napoleonic re-enactment
in depicting the Imperial Guard Foot Artillery and Artillery Train. We have three full size guns, and have the only draught
horses and Artillery Train drivers in Napoleonic re-enactment in UK.
Based in UK La Garde has a place for you in our ranks, as either a cannoneer, artisan, musician, driver
or civilian. Women and children are also welcome, who have many fulfilling roles to explore within the group.
